great printer August 28, 2010 Ben love this printer, it looks great, very versital, wifi is a must with people using laptops.
Junk August 28, 2010 C. Douglas (New York, NY USA) New printer, less than three months old, continually get "printer system error, power of printer" message. What a piece if crap, in the trash it goes and I won't ever purchase another product from HP.
Good printer for the money... August 25, 2010 Beach Bum I've had pretty good luck with HP printers over the
years, and so I stuck with them.
Pros: Works well!
Cons: it seems each new printer has a smaller and smaller ink cartridge; and more and more invasive softwear that I don't want or need.
Terrible printer - HP should be ashamed to put their name on it August 9, 2010 Waterbug 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
To call this printer junk would be doing it a favor. I read many reviews on this printer before buying. It does have every negative feature mentioned in the reviews only to a much higher degree than I ever expected.
I bought this printer to replace a Dell AIO as I thought the Dell used too much ink. This HP drinks ink to the point that it makes the Dell look outstanding. Cartridges on the HP last about 1/3 to 1/4 as long as on the Dell.
1st copy speed is unbelievably slow. Wakeup is incredibly long and the printer goes through all kinds of shake, rattle, and roll when waking up. Truly, the amount of time it takes and the noise it makes is simply astounding. Scan is slow and cumbersome. Every page it prints gets deposited on the floor if you are not there to catch them. The only good thing at all about this printer is the print quality. I would rate it as good as similar printers but not better.
Do not waste your money. This printer is as bad as they come. Even if HP gave me a $100 to buy it, there is no way I would do it. The cost of ink alone would make it very expensive to own and operate in the long run. Just an unbelievably bad machine. I have stopped using this lemon and brought my old Dell back into service to replace it. DO NOT BUY.
Good printer, wish the quality was better. July 26, 2010 Krishna positives: Installation on Mac and Linux (via hp-uri) were done seamlessly. Wireless works like a charm and things are intuitive like all HP products.
negatives: I print a lot of graphs. And I find the dots/small dashes etc not sharp enough.
